Dangerous cosmetics

I don’t wear makeup often, and nail polish only rarely. Now I’ve got good reason to avoid most nail polishes: there are three dangerous chemicals to avoid, according to Green Living Online!
Today, I am shopping for a friend of mine who I *know* will be at least as concerned as I am about toxins — plus she has two little boys who she wouldn’t want to expose to unnecessary poisons! I’m glad I found this article, so I can make an informed polish purchase!
Other articles at Green Living look pretty awesome and informative, too! I’m going to have to explore further.
UPDATE: There’s also an article on chemicals in makeup, and it lists places that the chemicals are already banned (and thus there is probably a good reason to avoid them).
